We humans spend most of our time in our own head. Of these most of them would be either about the past or in the further. It would be amazing if we could think things positively. But many fall into the spiral of the opposite instead – Negative.
When unwanted thoughts dive in, they prevent us from enjoying the present moment, and instead take a down spiral with more of negative thoughts piling up. And they might sometimes be the reasons to start doubting ourselves, confusing us and distract from what’s important. The happy news is that we can replace them with positive ones with consistent practice and inner work. Here are few tips which I have tried out and putting out here so you also could get benefitted from.
GET AWARE OF YOUR THOUGHT PATTERN
Stay conscious and always alert yourself on what thoughts you would like your brain to give away as well to put within. Every time something runs in your mind, observe if its useful or not and see how it slowly puts down your mood and your confidence sometimes. Understand when or in what situation your mind generated negative thoughts. Know the pattern – that is the first step.
USE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
Initially when I came across this way of working with mind, I truly didn’t think this would work, but I gave them a try with all my heart and they did save me many times. Whenever you find yourself get into a that negative spiral, slowly try to repeat positive affirmations like
I am Positive.
My Mind is always Positive. I feel Good.
I always feel positive and Energized.
and more. You could use these affirmations everyday when you wake up and when you go to bed at night. When you do so, try to feel that feeling of how you really feel positive. Even if you can’t, try to make-belief and do them regularly. More on this in later blogs.
